High volume unexploded ordnance disposal
High volume explosive ordnance disposal is carried out in addition to conventional explosive ordnance clearance for terrain that exhibits a very high density of obstructions, especially in the case of small munitions and explosive ordnance remnants. First, large obstructions are individually removed. The material to be processed is then separated from the remaining small segments using screening equipment. Coupling with magnetic separators removes all ferromagnetic obstructions. Eddy flow separators are then used to ensure non-ferrous explosive ordnance is also removed from the screening material. Expert EOD specialists from Röhll supervise the recovery of all ferrous and non-ferrous obstructions. Recovered munitions are handed over to the responsible state explosive ordnance disposal services.
